Description
SEMS products meet or exceed the standards outlined in reports published recently by FEMA, FEMP, Rocky Mountain Institute, and NREL. These reports call for improvements in the construction of PV Arrays. The Publications define design and construction standards necessary to achieve survivability of solar arrays when subject to severe weather events. One Critical area of improvement mentioned is the need for improvement in solar racking. Storm hardened solar racking and solar trackers increase the probability of PV array survival. Storm hardened design and construction minimize the risk of damage or total loss of a solar system due to storms. Increases return on investment and life cycle of the solar array and reduce operation and maintenance costs/expenses(Planned and Unplanned). Developers, EPC, and Investors can realize a more bankable Levelized Cost of Energy(LCOE).
